Description
Brunet Island is a 1,224 acre park framed by the Chippewa and Fisher Rivers. There are ample recreation opportunities including boating, fishing and canoeing among the islands formed by the confluence of the two rivers. Vistors can also hike, bike, picnic and more.

Alerts and Important Information
Firewood Notice: Firewood is not allowed on Wisconsin State Park or Forest properties from out of state or from more than fifty miles away from the property you are going to. Also, firewood that has been in the Wisconsin Emerald Ash Borer quarantined area

South Campground is open year-round, although sites are not plowed during the winter. All sites are available on a first come-first served basis during times for which reservations are not accepted.
2009:
- Sites 1-24: walk in registration only from Sept. 8 through April 29, 2010.
- Sites 25-69; walk in registration only from Sept. 8th through October 31st.
- Reservations accepted for the period from May 1 through September 7.
2008:
- North Camp: reservations from 04/25/08 - 09/01/08.
- North camp sites are on 1st come/1st served basis 09/02/08 - 11/10/08.
- South Camp: reservations from 03/28/08 - 09/01/08.
Vehicle admission stickers are required. Click here for cost of the sticker.
Reservations cannot be cancelled online.
Showers and flush toilets are open approximately mid-May through mid September. Actual dates vary-call the park office for more detailed info if shower availability is a concern

Brunet Island is located just north of the city of Cornell in northern Chipppewa County. Take State Hwy '64' to Park Road. Take Park Road north about 1 mile to the park entrance.
