Firewood Notice: Firewood is not allowed on Wisconsin State Park or Forest properties from out of state or from more than fifty miles away from the property you are going to. Also, firewood that has been in Wisconsin Emerald Ash Borer quarantined area http://www.emeraldashborer.wi.gov/pdf/Wisconsin Emerald Ash Borer quarantined area.pdf is not allowed on properties outside of the quarantined area. Please buy firewood nearby or at the property you are going to. Call the DNR toll-free Firewood Hotline 1-877-303-WOOD (9663) for information before packing up for a trip.

The road to Rib Mountain State Park is 1.7 miles long with an 8% grade. Vehicles should have sufficient power to pull their unit up a steep slope and be equipped with good brakes. It may be difficult to get a unit completely level on a majority of the sites.

There are no flush toilets and no winter camping.

Vehicle admission stickers are required.Click here for cost of the sticker. Reservations cannot be cancelled online.

Rib Mountain State Park is located just west of the city of Wausau. Exit Hwy 51/39 to Cty Hwy N (Exit 188). Drive west 1/3 mile to Park Road. Proceed straight through traffic lights follow it up the mountain 1.7 miles to the contact station.
