Also, firewood that has been in the Wisconsin EAB quarantined area is not allowed on properties outside of the quarantined area. Please buy firewood nearby or at the property you are going to. Description

Ancient lava flows, deep gorges and spectacular waterfalls make this one of the state's most scenic parks. Log buildings from the 1930's CCC era add a special charm.

North Campground sites 2,3, & 4 are open all year.
North Campground sites 1, 5-33 are on 1st come / 1st served basis, when not on reservations.

  • 2009:
    • North sites 1, 5-33: reservations 04/16/09 - 11/30/09.
    • South 1A sites 34-38: reservations 05/23/09 - 10/10/09.
    • South 2A sites 39-43: reservations 05/23/09 - 09/03/09.
    • South 3A sites 44-56: reservations 05/22/09 - 10/10/09.
    • Backpack bp1: reservations 05/23/09 - 10/10/09.
    • Group Camp: reservations 05/23/09 - 10/10/09.

    Pets must be on a leash and attended at all times. the maintrail,doughboy's nature trail is off-limits to pets.
    Water system will be turned off on 10/09.
    Water systems may have to be turned off earlier than 10/09 due to freezing weather.
    Group campsite is for tents only and one wheeled camper allowed.

    Vehicle admission stickers are required.Click here for cost of the sticker. Reservations cannot be cancelled online.
