Attention: The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will be resurfacing the Hwy 42/57 (Bay view) Bridge in Sturgeon Bay from March 4 until June 30, 2013. There is a detour route through Sturgeon Bay to reconnect to the highway in the northern part of the city. http://www.doorcounty.com/detour

DescriptionLocated on Sturgeon Bay, Potawatomi has gently rolling upland terrain bordered by steep slopes and rugged limestone cliffs along two and a half miles of Sturgeon Bay shoreline. A 75-foot observation tower rises above the forest canopy, giving a panoramic view of Sawyer Harbor. On a clear day, the view from the park's observation tower reaches 16 miles across Green Bay. The Park features summer and winter activities, with hiking / biking trails, boat launch accessible fishing pier and a cabin for people with disabilities (ADA accessible).

Alerts and Important InformationFirewood Notice: Currently, firewood is not allowed on Wisconsin State Park, Trail or Forest properties from out of state or from more than 25 miles away from the destination campground. In addition, firewood that has been in a Wisconsin EAB quarantined area is not allowed on properties outside of the quarantined area. Please buy firewood nearby or at the property you are going to. Call the DNR toll-free Firewood Hotline 1-877-303-WOOD (9663) for information before packing for a trip.
The shower building and dump station are generally open for the season by the first weekend in May; they are closed for the winter around mid-October.
